AB Away Pro
The saying is "the experts know", and Tamilee Webb is definitely a fitness expert. Tamilee endorses this product herself. Get "in the know" yourself, and get an AB Away Pro.
Ab Away Pro is flexible.
The AB Away Pro uses reverse action technology to help you on your way to a firmer more sculptured stomach with results faster than ever before. There are a multiple number of positions that you can choose with the Ab Away Pro. Choose one that is just a little challenging for your current level of fitness to challenge yourself and build muscle.
The Ab Away Pro supports your head and neck, which is important if you have any weakness in those areas. It also helps isolate your abdominal region for your workout by keeping your body in an ideal muscle building position. You'd be surprised how many folks are working their necks more than their abs when doing traditional sit ups!
When using the twisting motion, you work your oblique abdominal muscles, which helps to shape your waist as you lose weight.
Ab Doer Pro
The Ab Doer is designed to use an aerobic type exercise to help you burn fat as you tone your ab muscles. The circular movement used must be achieved with your ab muscles, not your arms and neck to see results. To do this, you must concentrate on what you are doing so that you work your abs while doing the movement.
The Ab Doer has a lot of mixed reviews due to the often noisy spring that keeps the action piece in place. Also, resistance is not very adjustable. For more advanced users, this can be an extreme disadvantage.
The Ab Doer is good for those with back trouble or postural problems, as the seated position takes a lot of pressure off of the back when working the abdominals. The circular motion works your upper abs, lower abs, obliques, and lower back.
This piece of ab exercise equipment would best be used to compliment a regular exercise routine, especially if you want to get a workout done while listening to the radio or watching TV. For a more basic ab workout, we recommend the Ab Sculptor for simple ab crunches to get in shape and build fitness.
Ab Dolly II
The Ab Dolly 2 is a versatile ab exerciser best used by folks who have the ability to be on their knees for their workout. The kneepads are thick and long lasting, so you'll be comfortable as you build your way to better abs. However, if you cannot work out on your knees for any reason, check out some of our other great ab exerciser recommendations in the left hand menu.
The Ab Dolly works your abdominals as well as your shoulders and arms. You slide on the dolly with your arms supporting your weight, letting gravity work your muscles into perfection. You slide only as far as your current level of fitness allows, whether advanced or beginner, and work up to more. What's more, this workout can be accomplished in as little as 3 minutes! No complicating routines, just a simple movement and you are working your abs and arms at the same time.
The Ab Dolly is convenient for storage, too. Small and compact, you can store it under any bed, in any closet or even under your desk at work! Ready at a moment's notice, you'll be able to grab a quick ab workout any time you want.
Ab Flex II
The Ab Flex II is approved by orthopedic surgeons, since it strengthens abdominal muscles without straining back muscles, a major problem with sit-ups and crunches. Resistance can be set from as little as 5 pounds up to 125 pounds, making it safe for everyone from beginner to advanced. Features 18 different adjustments, diagnostic meters, abdominal pads and more, so that you can set just the right resistance for your fitness level.
The Ab Flex is flexible. Try the chest crunch for helping develop solid pecs. In women this will help lift and firm the bust line, in men it will develop a buff, chest. The side crunch slims and strengthens sides while it improves back support. This targets the internal and external obliques for toning. The
stomach crunch tightens stomach muscles. You'll get 6 different abdominal exercises with this one machine.
Ab Force
The Ab Force is designed on the same principle as the Ab Slide, but with some modifications. It has a new ergonomically designed workout phenomenon that is both effective and affordable. With one easy movement you can simultaneously work your abdominal muscles, obliques, arms, back, shoulders, chest, and waist. It has comfortable grip handles to make your workout a more comfortable experience.
There seem to still be some problems with the Ab Force, though for less advanced users. There is no resistance to aid you in getting back to your starting position, and this can lead to a risk of injury. While the whole upper body does indeed get a work out, you must be very careful of the position your back ends up in when using the Ab Force. For a more ergonomic solution, we suggest you try The Ab Dolly for more control.
It is great for advanced users. There are no difficult routines to follow. *Plus you don't have to work out for hours every day. The AB force is quick; a few reps and you are done for the day. You control your workout, if it is too hard, simply decrease your movement. Need more of a challenge: increase your motion and the time of your workout. It really is that simple!
Ab Rocker
The Ab Rocker is made by Body by Jake. When Jake does the rocking, it all looks so easy! The Ab rocker was designed to allow you to work your ab muscles by sitting and pushing on the bars. Your lower back can be worked by reversing the direction you sit.
The Ab Rocker gives you 4 workouts in 1, working all four muscle groups of your waist and stomach. The secret is in the Ab Rocker’s patented Ripple Effect™ Resistance System. As you rock, perfectly balanced resistance bands give you all the smooth muscle toning resistance you need for a firmer waistline. Choose from three different resistance levels, from easy to challenging, depending on your desired workout.
The coordination required for this piece of ab exercise equipment seems to be more than beginner. If you are a beginner, you will probably enjoy having a simpler routine based on ab crunches, such as the Ab Exerciser. It all sounds great to rock your way to great abs, but if you're not in shape, start with the basics like the Ab Exerciser!
Ab Roller
The Ab Roller is famous among ab exercisers. You've probably seen it at the local gym, and think it would be great for the house. The Ab Roller was even the subject of a research project!
The Ab Roller Plus is the original ab exercise machine. It gives you a complete, no nonsense abdominal workout. It comes complete with an owner's manual for easy assembly, a complete list of exercises, and anti-slip power stands. The only disadvantage that we see is that the arm length is not adjustable, making it a bit of a stretch for smaller people, and if you have shorter arms, you will end up using even more neck and arm strength than a classic sit-up to get an ab crunch.
An almost exact duplicate of the Ab Roller Plus is the Ab Sculptor, and The Original Ab Trainer.
Honestly, all these gadgets are just aimed at getting you inspired to do a good old ab crunch, and relieve the neck stress. Well, check out a
Sit Up Bar that is portable and hooks under a piece of furniture or a door and locks into place to give you that sit up support you need. Forget all the fancy Ab Roller style equipment and save a bundle. Buy yourself a sit up bar and get those toned up abdominals in no time!
Ab Sculptor
Why do we recommend the Ab Sculptor for Beginners?
When you're starting out on a fitness routine, you need to set realistic goals and have realistic exercises for your goals. If you are seriously overweight or just out of shape, the coordination needed for any of the "slider" type or "swing/rocker" type ab exercisers will most likely be beyond your capabilities. If you really want to get in shape, choose something that can actually do, an ab crunch!
The only disadvantage of this piece of equipment is that the handles are not adjustable. If you're a small person, you may really have to stretch to reach the upper bar, which pretty much defeats the purpose of the bar trying to take the effort off of your neck and arms! If you're not sure the grip is going to work for you, a cheap and easy solution is a Sit Up Bar. The sit-up bar is simple and its sole purpose is to aid in regular old sit ups/ ab crunches. Get good at those and you'll be able to move on to the next, more exciting piece of equipment.
If you're more average in arm length, this piece of equipment, the Ab Sculptor, can keep your ab crunches fun and thus more likely to actually GET DONE. All that for under $50!
Ab Slide
The Ab Slide is an ab exerciser that also works your upper body. To use the Ab Slide, get down on your knees, grab hold of the handlebars, and gently push forward. Try only a small amount of forward movement at first. Now, concentrate on using your ab muscles to pull yourself back up. This is the trick to getting more ab work than arm work from the Ab Slide. Tuck your tummy muscles and pull from your abs to bring yourself back up. Repeat a few times, increasing each day as your fitness increases.
The ABslide provides one of the very best exercises for the midsection! It allows the abdominals to be isolated, causing an effective extension and contraction of the ab muscles. And at the same time, you will also be toning muscles in your arms, shoulders and back!! Light weight and easy to transport Includes ABslide with Handles and Exercise Instruction Guide.
This ab exerciser is not recommended for those who are seriously overweight, since the pressure on the upper body can be a risk while increasing your fitness. Since this great little machine also requires more coordination than a simple ab-crunch, if you're a beginner we recommend the Ab Exerciser for getting into shape first.
The Ab Slide is extremely convenient in its small compact size, also. You can take it anywhere you go, ready to keep up your ab regimen even on vacation or business trips!
Ab Twister
The Ab Twister is an ab exercise machine that also targets the back, upper arms, and all your ab muscles. You can use the Ab Twister for ten different exercises:
- Bent knee sit-ups.
- Ab crunches.
- Side crunches.
- Dumbbell side bends.
- Seated barbell trunk twists.
- Jack-knife sit-ups.
- Leg pull-ins.
- Flat back leg tucks.
- Hanging leg pulls.
- Roman Chair exercise.
Using a system very similar to the Ab Rocker, you build fitness by resistance exercises. The difference between the Ab Rocker and the Ab Twister is that the handle bars also rotate in relation to the seat, so you can get a good workout on your oblique muscles. You choose the resistance level for easy, medium, or advanced workouts.
The Ab Twister is easy to store. Made of gym quality steel, you can quickly disassemble it for compact storage anywhere. That sure saves space compared to 10 different exercise machines!
Like the Ab Rocker, this piece of ab exercise equipment may be more suited to those in shape enough to manage the coordination needed to properly work your different ab muscles. A beginner may find the movements difficult to achieve until reaching a higher level of fitness. For beginners, we recommend the Ab Sculptor for simple ab crunches to get in shape and build fitness.
